Jungle Path
Take a walk on the wild side down our jungle path and experience the many local plants, birds and animals in their natural habitat. Walk in the footsteps of early settlers along this historic river path that takes you straight to the scenic Belize River.
The River
This can be your choice of relaxation or excitement. Kayak the river that runs alongside the property; take a cave tubing tour down the river and see firsthand, Belizeans using the river as they have for centuries. Or, cool off with a refreshing dip.
Organic Farm
Tour the working farm with a variety of livestock, local crops and tropical fruit trees including oranges, bananas, mangoes and our traditional healing remedies.
Horseback Riding
We can arrange your horseback excursion along the river trails between nearby towns and through the forest.
Butterfly Farm
There are several Nature Centers within walking distance from Maya Vista Resort that offers a relaxing ways to spend a morning or afternoon.
Survivor
Once a popular television show in the U.S., we offer a smaller version and it would be a ruin tour similar to Tikal and Caracol.
Maya Temples
Take a walk into ancient times and learn more about the Maya. We offer guided tours to some of the largest Mayan sites in Central America.
Xunantunich is located just a stones throw away from Maya Vista Resort. This used to be a major ceremonial center during the classic period. Comprising six major plazas and surrounded by more than 25 temples and palaces, The “El Castillo” temple rises 130 feet high above the plaza.
Caracol is the largest known Maya site in Belize. The main temple “Canaa” means “Sky Pa lace” and stands 143 feet high, making it the tallest man made structure in all of Belize.
Lamanai holds one of the longest occupation spans in the Maya World. It was occupied continuously for over 3,000 years.
Tikal meaning “City of Voices” is a major Maya site located in Guatemala, just across the border from Maya Vista Resort.
